The branch of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in Kenya -Mombasa ‘under construction” organized a lecture about kinship ties. The lecturer was Sheikh Faisal al-Amoudy, the Secretary-General of Kenya’s branch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the lecture, al-Amoudy pointed out that kinship ties with parents are obligatory even if they are non-Muslims. Furthermore, he asserted that kinship ties are the greatest deed for Allah Almighty and it is a duty for every Muslim. It is worth mentioning that Allah connected affinity with the blessings in time and living. He made it clear that kinship ties are not just a virtue for a Muslim, but rather it is one of the commands of Sharia that requires obedience, and cutting it off is a divine prohibition that necessitates to cease and renounce, as it is the focus of reward or punishment on the Day of Resurrection.
