The lecturer was Sheikh Faisal al-Amoudy, the Secretary-General of Kenya&#8217;s branch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the lecture, al-Amoudy pointed out that kinship ties with parents are obligatory even if they are non-Muslims. Furthermore, he asserted that kinship ties are the greatest deed for Allah Almighty and it is a duty for every Muslim. It is worth mentioning that Allah connected affinity with the blessings in time and living. He made it clear that kinship ties are not just a virtue for a Muslim, but rather it is one of the commands of Sharia that requires obedience, and cutting it off is a divine prohibition that necessitates to cease and renounce, as it is the focus of reward or punishment on the Day of Resurrection.&nbsp; This lecture came as part of the Organization&#8217;s activity to confront extremist thought and propagate moderate thought.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The branch of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in Kenya -Mombasa &#8216;under construction&#8221; organized a lecture about kinship ties.
