Needless to say that the Prophet (PBUH) is the first one who set the quarantine. As he said, &#8220;If you hear that a land has a plague in it, do not go forward to it. If it comes upon a land which you are in, do not depart in flight from it&#8221;. This Hadith is an actual application of the principles of quarantine in its current idea.
