Azhari Scholar: the Extremist Groups Seek to Destroy Nations and Lack the Tools to Understand Shari\u2019ah<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Mohammad Bayoumi, Dean of Usul al-Din Faculty in Zaqaziq, al-Azhar University, said that the Muslim nation has been, recently, plagued with the extremist groups that have been hitting the nation everywhere. Indeed, these malicious groups have the worst impact on various societies that led to their disintegration and the spread of violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Bayoumi stressed that these extremist groups seek to destroy and corrupt the nations while they, falsely, claim that they seek societies\u2019 reformation. He pointed out that these groups lack the proper tools to comprehend the Islamic Shari\u2019ah, explaining how hard it is for an extremist to attain such tools just from reading a book or two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This came during the workshop organized by the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates (WOAG) via video conference under the title of \u201cThe Impact of Terrorist Groups on the Disintegration of Societies<\/em>\u201d. The workshop targeted al-Azhar graduates and scholars from South Asia countries including: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan and India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Dr. Bayoumi mentioned that extremists consider homelands and nations as \u201ca handful of dust\u201d, while in fact, national affiliation has other cultural, social, political and economic dimensions and the ensuing rights and duties; indeed, national affiliation is not limited to being just \u201ca handful of dust\u201d as contemplated by the extremists, as Man has no identity if he\/she has no homeland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his word, Dr. Mohammad Qassem Helmy, Afghani Former Minister of Religious Affairs, highlighted the importance of modifying the educational curricula of the pre-university education and higher education. He stressed the need to listen to the youth, their thoughts and problems, to consider and solve them, in order to protect the youth from joining the extremist groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same vein, Dr. Rahim Allah Hanafi, Afghani Former Minister of Endowments, and a graduate of Usul al-Din Faculty, pointed out that the doctrinal and intellectual diseases need treatment just as the organic ones. He stressed that such malicious diseases, that hit the Muslim societies, led to the spread of violence, terrorism, destruction and corruption, and their cure is by following al-Azhar moderate wise approach that was able, throughout ages, to handle and cure issues and problems like these.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants concluded the workshop by stressing the importance of the role played by al-Azhar graduates and scholars worldwide; indeed, they are the best ambassadors of al-Azhar who advocate Islam and bear the responsibility of spreading its sciences among all Muslims worldwide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
