The branch of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in Somalia condemns in a statement the terrorist attack that targeted a hotel in Kismayo, southern Somalia, as nine people were killed and 47 were injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statement said that killing innocent people is a criminal act that contradicts the teachings of Islam and other creeds, as Allah Almighty said: \u201cWhoever slays a soul for other than a soul, or for corruption in the land, it shall be as if he had slain mankind altogether.\u201d [Q. 5: 32].<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, the Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said: \u201cAvoid the seven destructive things. It was asked: \u201cWhat are they, O Messenger of Allah?\u201d He mentioned, the killing of someone without a just cause whom Allah has forbidden.\u201d (Narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the statement stressed that the extremist groups aim to wreak havoc everywhere. Thus, Allah said, \u201cWhoso slayeth a believer of set purpose, his reward is hell forever. Allah is wroth against him, and He hath cursed him and prepared for him an awful doom.\u201d[Q. 4: 93].<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statement added that shedding the blood of innocent people is one of the grievous sins that necessitates hatred of Allah, and Islam protects the lives of all people.
