The course included a lecture themed \u201cMufti\u2019s Fundamental Skills\u201d given by Dr. Emad al-Halabi, Instructor at the Faculty of Sharia and Law, al-Azhar University, who <a><\/a>highlighted that a Mufti should possess a full knowledge of the Quran and Sunnah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stressed that a Mufti has to consider the fundamental Fiqh rules, to be familiar with auxiliary and linguistics sciences, and Sharia objectives, and take into consideration the positive and negative consequences of his Fatwas. He added that a Mufti should apply the Fiqh of Balance while defining good and evil and respect people\u2019s customs and conditions, to gain Allah\u2019s contentment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, al-Halabi emphasized that Fatwa represents the applicable aspect of religion since it applies general religious judgments to people\u2019s everyday worldly and religious dealings. In the same vein, the lecturer explained the traits and qualities of a Mufti, which come in two categories: the personal moral traits of a Mufti such as trustworthiness, honesty, justice, and rising above immoralities.
