How do I Seize the Night of Power (Laylat al-Qadr)? What is said in it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon our master and messenger of Allah, and upon his family, companions, and those who follow him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The night of power is a virtuous night, during which Muslims should stay up to worship on the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan. It should be seized by increasing acts of obedience, including prayer, remembrance of Allah, recitation of the Holy Quran, and so forth. As for what should be said on this night, when A\u2019ishah asked Allah\u2019s Messenger to tell her what prayers to say on Laylat al-Qadr if she knew which night it was, he said: \u201cSay: Allahumma innaka \u2018afuwwun tuhibul-afwa, fa\u2019fu \u2018anni (O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me).
