Prof. Shouman: Al-Azhar is a Trusted Institution for International Students<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prof. Abbas Shouman, President of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates – Secretary-General of the Council of Senior Scholars, and Major General Wael Bekhit, Vice-President of the Organization’s Board of Directors, received a high-level delegation from Thailand. The delegation, led by Somchai Shi Wangma, Director of the Sheikh al-Islam Office in Thailand, met to discuss avenues of cooperation between the two parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notably, Prof. Shouman emphasized that al-Azhar works for the benefit of society as a whole, not solely for Muslims. He added that al-Azhar, as an institution, strives to spread its message and promote a culture of integration among all members of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, he highlighted that al-Azhar is a trusted institution with extensive expertise in engaging with multinational and multi-ethnic communities. He added that the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates, as one of its key branches, is committed to enhancing cultural and religious communication through its global network, including its branch in Thailand.
