Sheikh Bashir Ismail, a member of the branch, delivered the lecture, emphasizing that Islam is a religion of peace and mercy. He highlighted that Islam rejects violence and extremism in all their forms, advocating for tolerance and moderation in interactions with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said, \u201cIslam’s stance against such acts is evident in many Quranic texts and prophetic hadiths, which emphasize the sanctity of life and property, as well as the importance of dialog and reform among people. Allah the Almighty said: \u201cAnd do not slay the soul [whose life] God has made inviolable, except with due cause.\u201d [Q. 17:33]. The Almighty Allah said: \u201cThus, We appointed you a midmost community\u201d [Q. 2:143], referring to moderation and distancing oneself from exaggeration and extremism. As the Prophet (PBUH) said: \u201cAnd beware of going to extremes in religious matters, for those who came before you were destroyed because of going to extremes in religious matters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He emphasized that Islam calls for mercy even toward violators and encourages dialogue in the best manner, as reflected in the Almighty’s words: “Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation.” [Q. 16:125] Rejecting violence and extremism is a fundamental aspect of Islam\u2019s message, which seeks to establish security and stability within societies and to educate individuals on virtuous morals and peaceful coexistence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
