The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates held a workshop under the title of \u201cA New Reading of the Prophet\u2019s (PBUH) Biography<\/em>\u201d, at its headquarters in Cairo. The workshop was attended by a number of international students from various nationalities and was lectured by Prof. Abdul Fattah al-\u2018Awari, Former Dean of Usul al-Din Faculty, al-Azhar University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the workshop, Prof. al-\u2018Awari emphasized that the Prophetic biography represents renewed lessons and morals for the different life aspects, pointing out that following the actions of the Prophet (PBUH) is the only way to achieve success and piety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, al-\u2018Awari explained that among the most significant issues to focus on at present is highlighting how the Prophet (PBUH) used to deal with his household and others, as this serves as the foundation for building a cohesive society and protecting the family from disintegration. He noted as well the Prophet\u2019s commandments concerning caring for children and raising them properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, al-\u2018Awari stressed that Islam honored women and freed them for all forms of servitude, abolishing manifestations of discrimination between males and females. In fact, Islam gives preference to women in several instances confirmed by the Holy Quran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conclusion, Prof. al-\u2018Awari reviewed a number of life situations of the Prophet (PBUH) and his companions, that embody the values of honesty, truthfulness, sincerity, good manners, patience and accepting the other. He underlined that such values represents the cornerstone in building the balanced Muslim personality.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
