In worship, it lies between excessive asceticism and indulgence in forbidden desires. Likewise, moderation is essential in legislation and conduct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, he stressed that moderation is not a secondary option but the very essence of religion, the distinctive feature of the Muslim Ummah, and the foundation of its goodness and success. The Holy Quran, the Sunnah of the Prophet, and the teachings of the early generations all affirm that Islam is a religion of balance and moderation, free from both excess and neglect.
