The Zakat and Charities Fund, under the supervision of His Eminence Prof. Ahmad at-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam of al-Azhar and Chairman of the Fund\u2019s Board of Trustees, announced the completion of delivering all humanitarian aid and supplies included in the first batch of the twelfth relief convoy, which arrived in the Gaza Strip via Rafah Border Crossing, amid the severe cold wave hitting the Strip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Fund explained that the first batch of the convoy included tens of thousands of equipped tents, which were fully delivered and set up for the affected families in the disaster-stricken areas, after their homes were destroyed by the brutal Zionist aggression. These tents have provided them with safe shelter to protect them from the harsh weather and cold nights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further, the Fund added that the work teams inside the Gaza Strip furnished the tents and equipped them with basic living necessities, including blankets, covers, food supplies, and clean water, in addition to medical and therapeutic supplies, infant formula, diapers, and personal care materials, all aiming at providing immediate humanitarian support for the families who have lost the basic means of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The implementation of the first batch of the twelfth convoy comes as part of the efforts of the global campaign to support the people of Gaza titled “Rescue Gaza<\/em>” launched by His Eminence the Grand Imam of al-Azhar under the slogan: “Strive with your wealth… and support Palestine<\/em>\u201d.
