Member of “Al-Azhar Graduates” in Aswan: Allah’s Rulings are Extremely Wise and Perfect

Sheikh Hussein Hamed, Member of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in Aswan said, “The believer has to carry out Allah’s commands and avoid His prohibitions without argument since judgment belongs only to Allah and His rulings are extremely wise and perfect.”

We fast because this is Allah’s command and we must obey Him, as He said in the Holy Quran: ” O you who believe, prescribed for you is the Fast, just as it was prescribed for those that were before you so that you might guard yourselves..” [Q. 2:183] Fasting is a means to achieve piety, and piety is doing what Allah Almighty commanded, and leaving what he prohibited, and fasting is one of the greatest reasons that helps a person to carry out the commands of religion.

It is worth mentioning that Hamed added that fasting teaches us to unite, for Muslims all around the world are fasting in this blessed month as Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said in a Hadith of Abu Huraira: “Allah the Exalted and Majestic said: Every act of the son of Adam is for him, except fasting. It is (exclusively) meant for Me and I (alone) will reward it. Fasting is a shield. When any one of you is fasting on a day, he should neither indulge in obscene language nor raise the voice; or if anyone reviles him or tries to quarrel with him he should say: I am a person fasting. By Him, in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, the breath of the observer of fast is sweeter to Allah on the Day of judgment than the fragrance of musk. The one who fasts has two (occasions) of joy, one when he breaks the fast he is glad about the breaking of (the fast) and one when he meets his Lord he is glad about his fast.”

Furthermore, he emphasized that fasting defeats and weakens the devil, thus his snares to humans are weakened and sins of humans are reduced. The Prophet (PBUH) said: “The devil flows in a man like his blood.” In addition, fasting trains the individual to observe Allah Almighty.

He pointed out that fasting is a way to respond to supplications, as the Prophet (PBUH) said: “When the fasting person breaks his fast, his supplication is not turned back.”

This came in a video broadcasted by the Facebook official page of the Organization’s branch in Aswan, as part of the Organization’s message to spread a moderate approach, denounce the ideas of violence and extremism, and demonstrate the tolerant message of Islam.
