WOAG branch in Comoros carried out several events and activities during the holy month of Ramadan.
The convened lectures tackled the virtues of mercy and amity in Quran and Sunnah, the social peaceful coexistence, the moral and humane principles at the time of Prophet, the moderate discourse and modern variables, moderation in the Islamic history and Fiqh heritage, diversity, and the culture of moderation, women and their role in social stability. These activities aim to establish al-Azhar moderate approach and remind the Muslim community of the disciplines of Islamic Shari’ah in their daily interactions. Moreover, they stressed the extremism and terrorism the Islamic nation is witnessing nowadays and how to confront them with the tolerant Islamic teachings as well as al-Azhar moderate approach that both call for tolerance, mercy, and denouncing violence.
