
The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Cameroon held a seminar, on the sidelines of World Arabic Language Day, entitled “Arabic is a way for understanding religion and refuting extremist ideologies” in Imam Nafea Al-Madany Center. It is worth mentioning that 50 people attended this seminar which is part of the role played by the Organization’s foreign Branches to confront extremist ideologies, correct misconceptions and spread the moderate thought.
Mr. Ali Muhammad Martella, member of the Organization’s branch, highlighted that the Arabic language helps spreading lawful culture and Islamic sciences. It also contributes to true understanding of Islam and refuting extremist ideologies that extremist groups propagate. He also pointed to the significance of studying it as it is the language of Quran and hub of Islam and culture.
