Secretary General of WOAG India: Islam Spread by Good Ethics, not by Compulsion and Violence as Promoted by Enemies of Islam

WOAG Branch in India organized a lecture under the title of “Adherence to Moderation and Denouncing Violence” in Shakarpur, Munger city.

Dr. Mohammad Shehab al-Azhari, Secretary General of WOAG India, pointed out that Islam spread by good ethics not by compulsion and violence as promoted by enemies of Islam; indeed, Islam is a religion of tolerance, mercy and moderation. As a matter of fact, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) exemplified these Islamic principles in the way he treated the infidels of Quraysh during the conquest of mecca, when he told them: ” Go your way, for you are free“; Indeed, Islam rejects violence and extremism. He highlighted as well the role of al-Azhar and WOAG in refuting the extremists’ false claims through the lectures and seminars by al-Azhar senior scholars to clarify the tolerance of Islam and correct the misconceptions.
