WOAG branch in Libya, organized a gathering to play a video under the title of “The Doctrine of Ahl al-Sunnah wal Jamaah ” by Dr. Gamal Farouk, former Dean of Islamic Da’wa Faculty, as well as a video by Dr. Abdul Fattah al-Awari, Dean of Usul al-Din Faculty, under the title “The Student’s Need for Science and Building Knowledge“. The gathering was attended by a number of Imams, preachers and Quran teachers, where the issue of Takfir, its danger and impacts on destructing societies as well as defining the true meaning of Jihad in Islam, all were discussed.
The attendees expressed their gratitude for the Organization and al-Azhar for the efforts they exert to transfer the true moderate message of Islam to all Muslims worldwide. The attendees demanded as well to continue organizing lectures and seminars that greatly contribute to explain the complicated issues and the misconceptions concerning Islamic Shari’ah and Jurisprudential issues.
