Al-Azhar Graduates in Chad Stress the Necessity to Refute the Extremist Understanding of Concept of Caliphate

WOAG branch in Chad organized a lecture under the title of “The Concept of Caliphate“, in the Capital N’Djamena.

Mrs. Amira Bekheit, member of WOAG branch in Chad, explained that “Caliphate” is a term given to the ruling system in the Islamic Shari’ah. She stressed that the concept of Caliphate in the Islamic thinking is equivalent to the concept of authority and sovereignty with a difference in application. She pointed out that the greatest aim of Caliphate is to spread the Islamic Da’wa worldwide and to take care of Muslims affairs. She stressed the necessity of refuting the understanding of the intolerant groups of the Caliphate concept and how the extremist groups misuse some of the verses and Hadiths and interpret them in a way that serves their extremist approaches that seek to demolish the fundaments and constants of Islam.
