
The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Nigeria delivered a lecture entitled “Facing extremism and ghulu through social media”. The lecture took place in Shaykh Mosleh bin Saleh Al-Malekky Masjid, was delivered by one of the members of the branch and attended by 40 people.
The lecture warned against misusing social media by extremists to propagate their extremist ideologies. It stressed the significance of relying on well-known moderate scholars when it comes to religious sciences. It also urged moderate scholars to refute extremist ideologies that are widespread on social media using evidence from the Holy Quran and Prophetic Sunnah.
