
The branch of al-Azhar Graduates in India held a forum with the students of Jamia Islamia Ishaatul Uloom in Maharashtra State, with the participation of many professors. This came as part of the activities carried out by the Organization’s branch to confront extremist ideologies, correct misconceptions, and spread the moderate approach. During the forum, Prof. Mohammad Shehabuldin al-Azhari, Secretary-General of India’s branch, asserted the necessity of al-Azhar role in spreading the moderate approach in the life of young people. Moreover, he confirmed that al-Azhar works on inoculating young people from extreme ideologies and adopting moderation. It is worth mentioning that he affirmed that young people are the hope of Islamic Ummah and its power; we should do our best to protect them from exaggeration and extremism. Furthermore, Sheikh Salheen Rahmany praised the efforts exerted by the branch regarding these activities that aim to prepare young people to be leaders of the future.
