The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Libya held a lecture entitled “Salah (prayer) is the foundation of Islam” in one of the primary schools of Germa archeological site. The lecture was attended by a number of students and teachers.
Asmaa Abdul Baky, member of the Organization’s branch and a preacher who took part in the training course held by the Organization for Libyan female preachers in 2020, highlighted the significance of anchoring Islamic teachings and spreading the true image of Islam. In addition, she pointed to the impact of Salah (prayer) in Muslims’ lives; it is the foundation of Islam, teaches Muslims organization and discipline and refines their behavior. Allah Almighty says “And maintain prayer; truly prayer prohibits lewd acts and indecency.” [Q. 29: 45]
