The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Nigeria held a an iftar gathering during the last ten days of Ramadan, following in this the Prophetic Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) “He who provides a fasting person something with which to break his fast, will earn the same reward as the one who was observing the fast, without diminishing in any way the reward of the latter.”
A seminar was also held as a part of the gathering during which members of the branch, Mr. Omar Muhammad Abdul Salam and Dr. Muhammad Maily, as well as President of the Organization branch in Borno, Dr. Ali Al-Ghawny, delivered words on the role of Al-Azhar in spreading moderation and the significance of using religious events to anchor the concept of moderation and straying off extremism.
