WOAG branch in Somalia-Mogadishu convened a seminar under the title of “The Dangers of Drugs on Individual, Family and Society“, attended by the students of Ain el-Elm preparatory and secondary school in Mogadishu.
Sheikh Ibrahim Sayed Aba Ali, member of WOAG Somalia, discussed the dangers of drugs, its types and negative impact on physical and mental health, as well as its serious impacts on the individual, family and the whole society. This seminar came to raise the awareness of the Somali youth and protect them against falling for drugs and any deviated behaviors, including intolerance and extremism. This seminar came as a response to the tragic circumstances the Somali youth are encountering after the wide spread of drugs trade and use in Mogadishu, that aim at destructing the social values and disturb their minds which may ease the heinous mission of the extremist groups to attract the youth and exploit them to attain their vile objective. Indeed, WOAG intends, through its branch in Somalia, to organize more of these seminars during the upcoming period, out of its responsibility to protect the Muslim youth against drugs and joining the intolerant groups.
