
The branch of al-Azhar Graduates in Cameroon held a lecture entitled: “Muslim Youth and Dangers of Extremism”, in cooperation with the Muslim Youth Association to mark the National Day of Cameroon in the great mosque in Douala City. This lecture came within the activity carried out by the Organization and its branches abroad to confront extremist thinking, correct the misconceptions and spread moderation. During the lecture, Sheikh/Mohammad Malek Farouk, President of the Cameroon branch, pointed out the necessity of raising awareness among young people, calling them to strengthen identification of the moderate Azhari approach denouncing violence and extremism. Furthermore, he warned them of the danger of complying with the claims of these extremist groups that exploit feelings to recruit young people.
