WOAG branch in Indonesia convened a preaching forum in Beit al-Ezza mosque in Bengkulu province, under the title “The Revelation of Quran“.
Mr. Shahr Azwar, member of the branch, highlighted the scholars’ various opinions concerning the way Quran has been revealed. The most prominent opinion is that Quran has been revealed in two ways; as a whole text and in parts. He clarified the divine wisdom of such revelations was to honor and glorify the Holy Quran and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and to demonstrate his greatness. Mr. Shahr Azwar urged the attendees to follow the teachings of Quran as they are without distortion or exaggeration to avoid the misinterpretations of texts; indeed, the extremist groups propagate misinterpretations and misconceptions about Quran and Sunnah.
