Al-Azhar Graduates in Chad: Discourse of Hatred Cannot Build Societies where Mercy and Tolerance Prevail

The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Chad delivered a lecture entitled “The concept of Al-Wala’ Wal-Bara” in the capital city of N’Djamena. It is worth mentioning that this lecture is part of the efforts exerted by the Organization to confront extremist thoughts, correct misconceptions and spread moderate approach.

Mr. Mustafa Taher Ibrahim, member of the branch, pointed that among the features of a Muslim society is that it is founded on the concept of Al-Wala’ Wal-Bara’; loyalty to Allah Almighty and Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) and disavowal anything that contradicts with the path of Allah. These two features render the Muslim society connected and strong where mercy, tolerance and love prevail and help achieve the message of Islam that is based on enjoining decency and forbidding indecency. He also affirmed that discourse of hatred can never build a human society where mercy and love prevail.
