The branch of al-Azhar Graduates in Benin held a lecture entitled “Islam is a religion of moderation”, attended by 50 people. This came as part of the activities carried out by the Organization’s branch to confront extremist ideologies, correct misconceptions, and spread the moderate approach. It is worth mentioning that Mr. Abdul Hameed Hussein Seela, a member of the Benin branch, delivered a speech about moderation and its concept in Islam. He added that it is considered a cut-off point between intolerance and decay. Furthermore, he urged young people to follow the moderate approach of al-Azhar and its message, adhere to the moderate Islamic teachings away from extremism and exaggeration, and spread values of peace, love, fraternity, and peaceful coexistence among people.
