WOAG branch in Somalia, in cooperation with the Azhari Institute in Qardho, organized a celebration to honor Quran memorizers from the elementary schools, with the participation of their parents and members of al-Azhar mission in Somalia.
The aim of the competition was to motivate children to understand the true interpretation of the Quranic verses, in order to protect them from the dangers of the misinterpretations used by the extremist groups. These celebrative initiatives are to encourage the students to memorize Quran while contemplating its sublime meanings that have nothing to do with exaggeration or extremism, to improve their morale and to spread the competitive spirit among them. The attendees praised the celebration and expressed their pleasure that their children memorized the holy Quran.
