Al-Azhar Graduates in Libya Commends Bravery of Libyan National Army and Warns Youth Against Violence and Extremism Organizations

The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Libya commended the bravery and heroism of the Libyan National Army in fighting terrorist figures all over Libya.

In a statement issued by the Branch: Troops of the Libyan National Army sacrifice their lives in order to protect their country and people. They also fulfill the role highlighted by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) when he said “Two eyes will never be touched by the fire of Hell; an eye which weeps out of Fear of Allah and an eye which spends the night in guarding in the Cause of Allah.”

Moreover, the Branch warned Muslim youth not to be deceived by the slogans of extremist organizations. It stressed that their hideous actions of killing, attacks, and terrifying civilians have nothing to do with jihad or defending Islam. However, the true meaning of jihad is portrayed by the role played by troops of the Libyan National Army who spend the night protecting people from those criminals.

In addition, the Branch called for consolidating efforts exerted by the Libyan Army to confront and uproot terrorism. It pointed to the fact that the actions of terrorist organizations completely contradict with teachings of Islam and disregard the sanctities of souls, nations, and religions. They adamantly oppose Allah and his messenger and are completely indifferent about the punishment of Allah in the world and hereafter. It is worth mentioning that the Libyan National Army announced on Wednesday that it has killed ISIL terrorist Al-Mahdi Dangou, the mastermind behind the kidnapping and beheading of 20 Egyptian Christian in Sirte in 2015. The Libyan National Army special operations unit managed to kill Dangou in an operation in Southern Libya’s Murzuk after a long pursuit.
