Al-Azhar Graduates branch in Qardho, Somalia, held a lecture entitled “Tolerance of Islam”. During the lecture, Sheikh/ Ahmad Ismael al-Azhari, the branch member and one of al-Azhar envoys to Somalia, referred to exaggeration, spreading the extremist thoughts away from tolerance of true Islam, and misrepresentation of the Holy Quran’s verses and the noble Sunnah that the Islamic world suffers today. He added that the above-mentioned distorted the image of tolerant Islam. Furthermore, he called for a commitment to the teachings of our true religion, which are marked by moderation and mercy in all fields of life. It is worth mentioning that he urged attendees to study the principles of Islam, and seek out lawful studies from the proper sources.
