The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates (WOAG) has agreed with First Aid Reference Center at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to use “Let’s Aid” section, which teaches children first aid through comics in an attractive and exciting way.
“Let’s Aid” section is published in Noor magazine and issued by WOAG. The comics’ idea and script by Dr. Tamer Ahmed, and the drawings by the painter Omar Talal; indeed, these comics were a success in the Arab world and Africa. The agreement, also, included translating the stories of “Let’s Aid” into English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, and using them, worldwide, as one of the educational tools to teach children first aid in the World First Aid Day. The section has been also translated into Ukrainian, and has been used by the Ukrainian Red Cross to educate children as part of the process of comprehensive response and universal access.
In the same vein, Dr. Noha Abbas, Editor-in-Chief of Noor magazine, said that the magazine is going to collect all the comics of “Let’s Aid” section in a book about first aid and will be available at the next Cairo book fair.
