Dr. Mohammad Zainul Majd, President of WOAG branch in Indonesia, participated in a national seminar to commemorate Abu Dhabi Document, signed by Prof. Ahmad at-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam of al-Azhar and Pope Francis of Vatican. The seminar was convened under the title of “True Fraternity for Joint Action to Overcome Human Problems”, at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia.
Dr. Mohammad Zainul Majd stressed, in his word, the importance of national unity among all religions in order to solve the problems that societies encounter at present, especially concerning the security and safety of people regardless of their beliefs.
The seminar was attended by Mr. Romo Agustinus Heri Wibowo, Secretary for Interreligious Relations and Beliefs at the Catholic Church in Indonesia, Hajj Ulil Absar Abdullah, Chairman of Nahdlatul Ulama Institute for Study and Human Resource Development, Mr. Dhamasubo Mahatera, representative of Buddhists, Mr. Abdul Rahim Ghazali, Executive Director of al-Maarif Institute (affiliate of Muhammadiyah Society) and Mr. Mohammad Sofan, Program Director at al-Maarif Institute.
