The branch of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in Qardho, Somalia, in collaboration with Imam al-Zahabi Elementary and Preparatory School in Qardho, held an honoring ceremony for outstanding students in the monthly exams. The school’s Director, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed, a branch member, opened the discussion by encouraging students for their great effort in the pursuit of beneficial knowledge, emphasizing their adherence to the moderate approach and raising awareness among students about the necessity of caring for the affairs of Muslims worldwide. He also praised the effective role of teachers in educating and enlightening students. Additionally, he commended the role of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in Somalia for promoting the moderate Azhari approach that rejects violence and extremism. He expressed his sincere wishes for continued success and prosperity for all involved.
Furthermore, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed addressed the words of His Eminence, Grand Imam Prof. Ahmad at-Tayyeb, Sheikh of al-Azhar, regarding the Palestinian issue and the criminal acts committed by the occupying Zionists, as the Imam said, ”Al-Azhar as-Sharif urges Arab and Islamic governments to adopt a unified stance against the inhumane Western support for Israel. He also emphasizes that history will not forgive those who are hesitant and defeatist in their support for Palestine. The occupation’s actions are described as genocide, war crimes, and a shameful stain on the Israelis. The Western media coverage is criticized as biased and prejudiced against Palestine and its people. The statement concludes that every occupation is destined to end sooner or later, regardless of its duration.”
