
Prof. Abdul Dayyem Noseir, the Secretary-General of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates, met with Sheikh/Amir Nour ad-Deen, the Supreme Head of the Islamic Research Academy in Burma, and his accompanying delegation. The purpose of the visit is to explore opportunities for bilateral cooperation in addressing the needs of international students from Burma studying at Al-Azhar University, focusing on academic, social, and cultural aspects. Additionally, discussions will cover strategies to counter extremism and intellectual exaggeration. Moreover, Prof. Abdul Dayyem Noseir emphasized that the Organization consistently strives to reinforce the Azhari academic approach, encompassing reason, transmission, heritage, and renewal. Furthermore, it serves as a crucial means of communication with Azhari students and graduates, academically preparing them to become exemplary ambassadors for both al-Azhar and Islamic culture in their respective countries. It is noteworthy that al-Azhar Graduates spared no effort in their support for Islamic causes and countering misconceptions about Islam through comprehensive academic training courses for Imams in the Islamic world. Furthermore, the Organization extends full support to international students from Burma pursuing their studies at al-Azhar ash-Sharif. In response, Sheikh/Amir Nour ad-Deen expressed his gratitude for the Organization’s dedicated efforts and its pivotal role in disseminating the true teachings of the religion. He emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination with the Organization to explore avenues for collaboration in supporting Burmese students at Al-Azhar and addressing any challenges they may encounter. Furthermore, he encouraged the students to serve as exemplary role models and contribute positively to their respective societies.
