WOAG branch in Chad organized a lecture under the title of “Virtues and Pillars of Hajj”, in Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque in N’Djamena, and attended by 30 participants.
Mr. Abdul Kareem Mohammad, member of the branch, pointed out that Allah Almighty orders the capable Muslims to perform Hajj once in a lifetime. Allah Almighty promises granting a great reward in order to urge and encourage every Muslim for carrying out such obligation gladly and with determination. Indeed, many of the Quranic texts illustrated the virtues of Hajj and Umrah, as Hajj is one of the greatest obligations that abolishes sins and evil deeds. Truly, the blessed and accepted Hajj ensures that a Muslim will return sinless as if he/she is re-born. Further, the lecturer explained the pillars of Hajj, which are: Ihram, Tawaf al-Ifadah (to circumambulate Kaaba 7 times), Sa’i (going) between as-Safa and al-Marwah 7 times and standing at ‘Arafat.
