
In conjunction with the University Institute for Languages and Training at Université du Sahel, the branch of al-Azhar Graduates Organization in Mali successfully conducted a three-day training course on journalism editing. The workshop, held in the lecture hall of Farouk Organization in Bamako, drew the participation of 70 media and journalism professionals representing the written, audio, and video domains.
The course aimed to focus on journalism and media and guide towards meaningful media that rejects violence and extremism, which calls for moderation and balance and promotes a spirit of citizenship.
It is worth mentioning that the course covered three topics:
- The Origins, Development, and Types of Journalism. This lecture was delivered by Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed Kouni, a member of the organization’s branch in Mali, a media personality for Al-Farouk Organization, and a university lecturer.
- Concept and Types of Journalism Editing. This lecture was delivered by Dr. Bakari Trawri, a member of the organization’s branch in Mali, Director of the University Institute for Languages and Training at Université du Sahel, and a lecturer and Researcher in the field of media and journalism.
- Concept and Types of Administrative Editing. Soliman Tangara, a University Lecturer in the field of media, delivered this lecture.
