
WOAG branch in Chad held a lecture under the title of “Political Exploitation of Religion” at al-Huda Mosque, in N’Djamena, with the participation of 25 attendees.
Mr. Abdul Kareem Yehia Soliman, member of the branch, explained the reasons behind the political exploitation of religion, such as sectarian motivations and struggle for power. He clarified as well the features of political exploitation, including exploiting Hadiths and Quran interpretations to serve politics and oppress the opponents. Further, Abdul Kareem underlined that the political exploitation of religion led to wars broken among Muslims, blood shedding and violence practiced in the name of religion, stressing the dangers political exploitation possesses against both politics and religion.
