His Eminence Grand Imam Prof. Ahmad at-Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, received the new Board of Directors of the World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates, headed by Prof. Abbas Shouman, to congratulate His Eminence on the success of his historic tour of Southeast Asia. The meeting was attended by Prof. Mohammad Abdulrahman ad-Dweny, Deputy of al-Azhar and member of the Organization’s Board of Directors; Prof. Salama Dawood, President of al-Azhar University and Vice-Chairman of the Organization’s Board of Directors; Mr. Wael Bekhit, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors; Prof. Mohammad al-Mahrasawi, President of al-Azhar International Academy for Training Imams, Preachers and Fatwa Researchers, and Former Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors; and Mr. Osama Yassin, former Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Prof. Abbas Shouman extended his sincere congratulations to His Eminence the Grand Imam on the success of his tour to Southeast Asian countries, which included Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. The tour highlighted the role of al-Azhar and its Grand Imam in serving all of humanity.
