Sheikh Mabrouk Mo’nes, Head of WOAG branch in Thailand and Sheikh Malek Lo’ma, Vice-Chairman of the branch, participated in a grand celebration in cooperation with The International Islamic College at Krik University, Bangkok, to raise the awareness, spread the Islamic culture and al-Azhar moderate approach.
A large number of students and researchers participated in the celebration, where the two members of WOAG Thailand gave their words on the importance of studying at al-Azhar University to spread the moderate thinking. Sheikh Mabrook highlighted a number of advantages a student enjoys at al-Azhar University, particularly the freedom of expression and accepting the others’ opinions without prejudice or rigidness. The celebration was such a success and has been covered by media, encouraging a number of students to change their course of study to join al-Azhar University.
