Al-Azhar Graduates’ Branch in Benin Presents Radio Programs to Promote Moderation

The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates branch in Benin held several lessons on the “Africa Espoir” radio station in Porto-Novo city, which are broadcast daily.

The lessons were hosted by Saleh Abdul Samad Ayindi, a member of the Organization’s branch in Benin, who explained the importance of moderation and the need to avoid extremism and takfir. He emphasized that Islam is a religion of moderation and the Islamic Ummah is a moderate nation.

Ayindi pointed out that Islam calls for balance and moderation in working for worldly life and enjoying its good things, while at the same time urging preparation for the afterlife. He added that Islam combines the requirements of both spirit and body, which confirms that Islamic law is a balanced and integrated theory that takes into account both spiritual and material needs.
