Conclusion of the Activities of Workshops (The Status of Women in Islam) for International Female Students at Al-Azhar Graduates

The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates concluded its series of workshops today for international female students from various countries, including Nigeria, the Philippines, Indonesia, Libya, and Burkina Faso, at its headquarters in Cairo.

It is worth noting that today’s events concluded with a workshop led by Prof. Ibrahim al-Hudhud, academic advisor to the Organization and former President of al-Azhar University, on “The Will of Imamah bint al-Harith to her Daughter.” In this session, he highlighted the most significant pieces of advice and guidance, timeless and universally relevant, for building strong families and nurturing healthy, balanced generations capable of contributing to developing and advancing their societies and homelands. The workshops covered various topics related to women and their status from the Islamic law perspective, including women’s role in raising children and instilling values and morals. They also addressed misconceptions about women’s education, employment, and leadership roles, as well as Hadiths concerning women that have been misunderstood. These sessions were delivered by a group of esteemed scholars from al-Azhar.
