Al-Azhar Graduates in Central Africa Raise the Awareness on the Importance of Family’s Role in Society

The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates, The Central African Republic branch, organized a lecture under the title of “The Importance of Family’s Role in Society”, at al-Nour Mosque, Bangui city with the attendance of 40 participants.

Imam Ahmad Barma, teacher at al-Azhar Islamic Da’wa School and member of the branch, highlighted the role of family in Islam, referring to it as a social unit that plays a significant role in building the society.

Moreover, the lecturer stressed that if the family is given the due proper care and circumstances for its formation and development, this will contribute in building a strong, stable and prosperous society, spiritually and socially.

Further, he underscored the vitality of family as the core of the Muslim society, as it is the most important social foundation built by Man. He explained that family is the first social unit the child is raised in, as family relationships are characterized by intimacy and spontaneity among its members, especially children. Such spontaneity gives child the chance to practice several forms of manners and behaviors that the family at that point must shape and adjust.

Additionally, the lecturer underlined the family’s role in establishing the first principles in the individual’s mind and to raise him/her properly; if the family is good, the society will be good as well.
