A Professor of Media at Al-Azhar University: Effective Communication is a Necessity of Our Times
The course ‘Dismantling Extremist Thought,’ organized by the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in cooperation with al-Azhar International Academy for Training Imams, Preachers, and Fatwa Researchers, is being held via video conference for a group of UK imams and preachers.
Prof. Mostafa Elwan, a Professor of Media at al-Azhar University, emphasized the importance of mastering effective communication skills. He pointed out that these skills are crucial in daily life, helping individuals build healthy and successful relationships at work, within the family, and in society.
During the lecture titled ‘Introduction to Effective Communication Skills,’ Prof. Elwan discussed the importance of communication, common obstacles, and methods for overcoming them. He emphasized the need for messages to reach their audience without distortion or confusion to ensure effective communication. He also reviewed types of confusion that hinder the communication process and ways to address them, ensuring messages are conveyed directly and accurately.
In conclusion, the trainees emphasized the need to acquire effective communication skills, apply emotional and mental inferences in their conversations, use these skills to renounce violence and extremism and promote moderate and enlightened thought.
