
Mr. Mohmmad Zaki Traoré, member of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates, Mali branch, participated as a guest in FASO KEKE program aired on NIETA TV. The program discussed “Pedagogy and Education in Islam”.
The discussion tackled the concept of pedagogy and education in Islam and their importance to prepare the new generation in a healthy proper way that may protect the youth from adopting the extremist thinking.
Further, Mr. Traoré highlighted that pedagogy in Islam considers a Muslim as an integrated being, gathering both mind and soul, who believes, solely, in Allah Almighty and whose mission is to develop and construct the earth. He added that ethics are the foundation of pedagogy in Islam; indeed, Islam, neither recognize the split between pedagogy and education nor between pedagogy and ethics.
Additionally, Mr. Traoré underscored that pedagogy in Islam reflects the true essence of that esteemed religion, its principles, values, spirit and legislations. He stressed that the importance of education lies in the human need for the Islamic values that suit every time and place.
