As part of Awareness Campaign “Azhari Flashes” by Al-Azhar Graduates

Al-Azhar Graduates Organization in Benin: Shariah is inherently designed to offer adaptable solutions that align with the ever-changing realities of life

The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates organized an awareness campaign titled “Azhari Flashes,” featuring a reading from Al-Qawl at-Tayyeb, a book by His Eminence Prof. Ahmad at-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam of al-Azhar. As part of the campaign, Sheikh Hussein Ishaq Sila, a member of the Organization’s Benin branch, delivered a seminar titled “The Necessity of Renewal” in Barako, attended by over 100 participants.

The symposium emphasized the unique characteristics of Islam’s message, highlighting that it is the final and concluding revelation, delivered by the last of the prophets. It was also underscored that Islam’s message is universal, transcending the boundaries of time and space, and will continue to embody this universality until Allah inherits the earth and all that is upon it.

A member of the Organization’s Benin branch explained that the finality of revelation necessitates the universality of Islam’s message, making it relevant to all people. He emphasized that this universality requires the inclusion of principles that benefit humanity in both religious and worldly matters. As such, the message addresses the needs of individuals and their livelihoods, regardless of their diverse locations or the changing circumstances of their times. Moreover, he highlighted that Shariah, by its very nature, is equipped to provide adaptive solutions and dynamic frameworks that keep pace with societal changes, affirming that Islam remains valid for every time and place. He further noted that the flexibility and dynamism of the Shariah lie in its balanced view of the spiritual and material aspects of human nature, even though its principles are articulated through fixed provisions that remain unchangeable.
