Prof. Ahmad at-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam of al-Azhar, received, on Sunday, Mrs. Celinda Sosa, Foreign Minister of Bolivia, at al-Azhar Sheikhdom. During their meeting, His Eminence stressed al-Azhar’s willingness to, duly, support the Muslim community in Bolivia, a support that emerges from al-Azhar’s responsibility to back Muslims issues. The Grand Imam underscored al-Azhar’s openness for mutual dialogue and extending bridges of cooperation with various cultural and religious institutions worldwide, in order to serve the values of fraternity and global peace.
On her part, the Foreign Minister of Bolivia expressed her pleasure to meet with the Grand Imam of al-Azhar, as well as her country’s appreciation for the efforts exerted by His Eminence in spreading the culture of fraternity and peaceful coexistence. Her Excellency highlighted Bolivia’s strive to foster the relations with Egypt via enhancing the joint cooperation and collaboration, especially in the scientific, academic and cultural fields.
