Al-Azhar condemns the horrific car-ramming incident that took place in a market in the German city of Magdeburg, resulting in the death of 11 people and injuries to dozens.
Al-Azhar affirms that attacking and terrorizing innocent people, regardless of their religion or belief, is a heinous crime and a violation of all religious teachings, as well as human and moral values. These values aim to preserve life and foster coexistence among all human beings. This underscores the need for concerted international efforts to eradicate extremist ideologies, address their root causes, and promote the values of tolerance, peace, and human fraternity.
Al-Azhar extends its heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to the families of the victims and wishes the injured a swift recovery.
