The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates branch in India convened an awareness-raising gathering for youth, to support their knowledge with Islamic sciences and prophetic ethics. Mr. Mohammad Shehab al-Azhari, Secretary General of the branch and Head of Rahmaniya School in Darbhanga, gave the lecture.
The lecturer highlighted that the new generation is in dire need for guidance, as ignorance and illiteracy lead to violence and extremism. He added that it is crucial to support the new generation, since their childhood, with the prophetic ethics, via studying the books of the Prophetic Sirah under the supervision of esteemed scholars. He stressed that the youth should practically apply such ethics and imitate the Prophet’s behavior in dealing with non-Muslims.
The lecturer commended the vital role played by al-Azhar to prepare a new generation of scholars coping with the requirements of the contemporary age in order to spread the moderate approach worldwide.
