A Lecture for Al-Azhar Graduates in India to Advocate Tolerance

The branch of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in India held a lecture for students of Rahmaniya University in Munjir, Bihar Governorate, titled ‘Tolerance in Islam.’ The lecture was delivered by Abdul Ahad Al-Azhari, a branch member and professor of Hadith and literature at Dar al-Hikma, at the Rahmaniya Khanaqah Munjir University in Bihar, India.

Notably, al-Azhari emphasized that Islam, as taught in the Azhari Ruwaqs, is a religion of humanity, security, and both regional and global peace. Moreover, he affirmed that Islam has never promoted, nor will it ever promote, violence or murder.

He emphasized that Islam is a religion of peace. ‘I do not say Islam ensures merely the safety of people,’ he stated, ‘but it also fosters the well-being of animals, plants, inanimate objects, and the entire universe.’ Furthermore, he highlighted that belief in the divine religions remains the same, as they were all revealed by Allah Almighty. In the Holy Quran, Allah describes Himself as the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficent, the Most Compassionate, and the Most Forgiving. He pardons sins, accepts repentance from His servants, forgives wrongdoers, excuses those who recognize the truth and return to it, and acknowledges those who admit their mistakes and regret them. Indeed, Allah is good and accepts only what is good.
