The Impact of the Fatwa on the Life of a Muslim: A Lecture for Al-Azhar Graduates in Bangladesh

The Bangladesh branch of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates held a lecture for students of the Islamic Mizan al-Salam Academy under the title ‘The Fatwa and Its Impact on the Life of a Muslim.’ This lecture was part of the branch’s awareness campaign, ‘Azhari Flashes… Reading in the Book of Imam at-Tayyeb,’ within the framework of al-Azhar ash-Sharif’s directives and the Organization’s headquarters—to promote moderation and balance.

The lecture was delivered by Mohammad Saif al-Islam al-Azhari, Deputy Secretary General of the branch. Notably, he emphasized that the Fatwa guides people in understanding the essence of Islam and highlights its flexibility in addressing contemporary realities and evolving circumstances. He explained that the message of Fatwas is closely linked to the mission of Dawah, especially in the modern era. While Dawah focuses on explaining the foundations and principles of Islam and promoting its morals and values, Fatwa reinforces and affirms these teachings, serving as a supportive tool in opening hearts and fostering unity.
