As part of the efforts of al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Qardho, Somalia, to promote knowledge and Islamic culture, the branch organized a new educational course titled “The Path to Correct Reading.” The course is aimed at students of Quran memorization centers and focuses on all aspects of Arabic reading, starting with the Arabic alphabet, moving through the basic rules of correct pronunciation, and including a detailed explanation of the lām qamarīyah and lām shamsīyah. The course was launched at the Masjid al-‘Ilm and benefited many male and female students. Its goal is to enhance their Arabic reading skills, which are among the most important tools for understanding the Islamic religion.
Notably, the first lecture of the course was delivered by Abdullah al-Azhari, Professor of Arabic Language and Shariah Sciences. He provided a detailed explanation of the difference between the lām qamarīyah and lām shamsīyah, one of the most challenging topics in Arabic reading.
Additionally, the course is part of a series of educational programs organized by the organization in the coming days, in recognition of the importance of strengthening the foundations of the Arabic language and promoting a correct understanding of the Islamic religion.
